- 2 - 20 ounce cans of apple pie filling
- 15 ounce box of yellow cake mix
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter melted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Spread the two cans of apple pie filling onto the bottom of the dish.
Sprinkle the box of cake mix over the top of the filling.
Pour the melted butter over the cake mix, trying to cover as much of the cake mix as possible.
Place the cake into the preheated oven and bake for 45-55 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Or, you can cover it with some plastic wrap if that's all you have. The leftovers are good for three to four days.
Make sure the cake cools to room temperature before storing it in the refrigerator.
