Ingredients

  • 5 pounds boneless turkey breast - thawed and strings removed
  • 1 ounce packet of dry onion soup and dip mix
  • 14 ounce can of whole berry cranberry sauce.
  • OPTIONAL:
  • A few small fresh thyme leaves stems removed
  • A few small fresh oregano leaves stems removed
  • Pinch of ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Add the turkey breast to the slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle the onion soup mix over the turkey.
  • Pour the cranberry sauce over the turkey.
  • Place the lid on top of the slow cooker and cook on low heat for eight hours or until the turkey is tender.
  • If you want to add oregano, thyme, and pepper, you will add them at the same time as the onion soup mix. These three ingredients are more for garnish than flavor.

Notes

Check with a digital meat thermometer to ensure the turkey is done cooking. The internal temperature at the thickest part of the breast should be 165 degrees.
There will be plenty of liquid after the turkey cooks to make homemade gravy.
