- 1 cup butter softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 4-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 350-degrees.
Add the softened butter to a large mixing bowl.
Add the granulated and powdered sugar to the bowl and cream together with the butter.
Add the vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla and mix.
Sift the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt together.
Add the flour mixture a little bit at a time to the butter mixture. Mix until well blended.
Scoop out onto a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cookies are lightly golden.
