Ingredients

Cake

  • 1 stick butter softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 - 16 oz. can chocolate syrup

Frosting

  • 1 stick butter softened
  • 1 - 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350-degrees. Grease and flour a 9" x 13" pan.

    Cake

    • Mix the butter and sugar in a large bowl.
    • Add the self-rising flour and mix.
    • Add the eggs, and mix, one at a time.
    • Add the chocolate syrup and mix until well blended.
    • Pour into the cake pan and bake for approximately 30-minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.
    • Allow the cake to cool.

    Frosting

    • Mix the butter and cream cheese until well blended.
    • Add the cocoa and mix.
    • Add the powdered sugar and mix until well blended.
    • Spread onto the cooled cake.
