- 1 pound ground beef
- 3 tablespoons taco seasoning
- 8 ounces cream cheese softened
- 2 cups Velveeta cheese cubed
- ¼ onion diced
- 1 cup mild salsa
- ¼ cup cilantro chopped
- 1 diced tomato for garnish
- ¼ cup black olives for garnish
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a medium-sized pan, add ground beef, onion, and taco seasoning over medium-high heat. Cook for 7-10 mins or until meat is fully cooked and browned. Drain grease from the pan.
Add salsa to the pan and stir until well combined.
In an 8x8-inch baking dish, add cream cheese and spread to fill the bottom of the dish. Add Velveeta cheese on top of the cream cheese.
Next, add cooked ground beef on top.
Cover with aluminum foil and cook for 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven and garnish with cilantro, tomatoes, and black olives, if desired.
- Best served warm.
- Best served with tortilla chips.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container and keep them refrigerated.
