Taco Dip Recipe with Ground Beef

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 2 cups Velveeta cheese cubed
  • ¼ onion diced
  • 1 cup mild salsa
  • ¼ cup cilantro chopped
  • 1 diced tomato for garnish
  • ¼ cup black olives for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a medium-sized pan, add ground beef, onion, and taco seasoning over medium-high heat. Cook for 7-10 mins or until meat is fully cooked and browned. Drain grease from the pan.
  • Add salsa to the pan and stir until well combined. 
  • In an 8x8-inch baking dish, add cream cheese and spread to fill the bottom of the dish. Add Velveeta cheese on top of the cream cheese.
  • Next, add cooked ground beef on top.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and cook for 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven and garnish with cilantro, tomatoes, and black olives, if desired. 

Notes

  • Best served warm.
  • Best served with tortilla chips.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container and keep them refrigerated.
